Sunday Ride bright and breezy ride to Hythe. 21-04-2024.

With the well welcomed return of Barry from his annual absence for 6 weeks of lambing duties, we decided on a not to punishing ride to The Lobster Shack in Hythe. Still faced with this tough “North something” wind we decided on a partly lumpy route out via Kenardington, Aldington, Port Lympne with a very fast run in down London Hill.
On arrival at the The Shack, we were seated and orders taken. Tea’s and coffee’s, Beans on toast, Bacon baguette, egg and bacon muffins and one Sausage and onion. We opted for a second round of brews with a side of cake. No point rushing as the Black Lion doesn’t open to 12!.
On the return it was the usual flat route across the marsh, the wind was tough in places but we still motored on. Barry took the Appledore Sign, beating Steve by a wheel. As we arrived the pub doors were opening with military precision, a few beers were enjoyed, complimented with crisps and a fair amount of club banter.
