Following on from the success of last weeks alternative TT this week saw the staging of the Club 25 TT. As with last weeks events there was no prior warning of what it would entail and the instriuctions were sent out dead on 9.00 am.

The instructions were as follows;

The ‘Alternative 25’

For this week’s challenge, we would like to see some fine examples of a pre-ride / café style breakfast, including a beverage. Consideration will be made for speed of preparation, although the emphasis will be on the meal we would most like to be served. I’d like to pretend that nutritional content will be considered, but we’re unlikely to get that technical and looks are going to count.

So ladies and gentlemen, warm up your toasters and get preparing. Remember the 9:25 deadline, no entries will be considered after the ‘25’.

In order of receipt the entries were as follows;

William Murtaghs minimalist entry, Will you need to eat some real food mate.

Paul Osborne; “What? I’ve just finished my Breakfast!!”

James Ashburnhams entry, he sure likes pepper.
Paul Osbornes second breakfast, committment
Paul Simpsons entry, mug noted.
Steve Goochs “Here’s one I made earlier” entry, he had breakfast hours ago
Jo Brittons entry, looks like we were stopping her going out for a bike ride.
Richardsons entry very healthy looking till you see the “Fruit Juice”.
Barry Goodsells Lance Armstrong themed entry.
Doug Lamberts rather premature entry, taking Sushi a bit too far. In his words not quite up to temperature.
Paul Wilsons entry showing some confidence with the winners flag as backdrop (I know they are really tiles).
David Richardsons excellent entry right on the deadline of 9.25.

Not included in the TT we have some from the Officials;

Captain Daves entry, bless
Steve Blattmans entry, fish served at the correct temperature.

The Officials judged the winner to be Paul Simpsons breakfast offering the right balance of presentation, speed and fulfilling the criteria set. Or they just felt sorry for him never having ever won a TT.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next alternative event.
