Rye Wheelers attended the annual “Carres de Vallees” Sportive organised by our friends Les Amis Cyclos de l’ardresis.

We were welcomed by Les Amis and the weather.

The event has walks and rides of various lengths and levels of athleticism, and we took part in all of the Cycle Routes. The 140, 100, 60 and 25k, some to test their mettle others just to have a nice ride with an old friend.

The longer rides had testing climbs and the shorter one lots of photo opportunities and the bonus of getting back early to the hospitality. A free Beer and a Sausage Baguette! All for less than 10 euros, bargain.

A total of 10 wheelers took part including life honorary member Jean Claude Cremers from Baysieux near the famous cycling town of Roubaix.

After the event the Wheeler’s spent the evening in the company of friends, club mates and local friends.
