After their safe delivery to Chez Simpson there followed the short trip to the Oak in Peasmarsh, escorted by Messers Simpson, Holman, O’Connor and Harrow. Avoiding pub stops until their well earned pint of English beer at The Oak they then changed for their evening meal in the company of more Rye Wheelers.

Joined by a total of 11 Rye Wheelers the evening was spent eating Carmen’s super food, drinking and forming new friends before retiring early to join the Sunday Club Ride the following morning, the weather forecast looking very foreboding.
