Whilst there have been a few regulars riding the midweek Ashford Wheelers club 10, it has been an otherwise quiet season for Rye in open events this season. I believe Mark Amon has been our only regular competitor and he has been making steady gains riding his road bike in preference to a full time trial setup. For Rebecca and me, the KCA 10  was a chance to dust everything off for the first time since the VTTA30 in April and the early start was a bit of a shock. The weather was perfect, just a slight north westerly breeze, feeling a little cool early on and Mark Amon was first off, being among the increasingly popular road bike category and was then followed by Rebecca, Steve Gooch and myself.
