This Weekend Nick Wilson made a return visit to Normandy to take part in The Duo Normand to compete with his French Team-mate Richard Lemannier. This year they came second in their Category improving their time by two minutes over last year.

A brief description of the event and a link to the website below;
Duo Normand is a time-trial race by team of two on a road of 54 km 300 that occurs each year at the end of September. The time trial is a special exercise, made for specialist : each team has to have technical and feeling similarities to run the good race. Since the first edition in 1982, Duo Normand has grown each year.
Chris Boardman and Jens Voigt got the record from 1999 to 2013 when the Orica Greenedge team exploded the time, running the race in 1 h 04 min and 10 secondes.
Duo Normand was created by a « duo » of persons loving bike and Marigny, Marylène Hurtel and René Gautier. Since 2013, a new team with more people took over the race around Nicole Delarue and Adèle Hommet-Lelièvre.
Around 3 weeks before the Duo Normand, Marigny, little town of 2000 inhabitants in the heart of la Manche, organise everything to welcome everybody during this special week-end. Meals, security, accomodation : everything is checked to be sure, on the Sunday morning, to be … on time !
